nLite is a tool for pre-installation Windows configuration and component removal at your choice. Optional bootable image ready for burning on media or testing in virtual machines.
With nLite you will be able to have Windows installation which on install does not include, or even contain on media, the unwanted components.
This portable version of nLite 1.4.8 integrates .Net Framework 2.0 SP1 Windows components. In other words, it also runs on target computers that don't have .Net Framework installed (once launched, nLite uncompresses the .Net Framework components). Just like other Thinstalled applications, this one might take a little time to load for the first time. Thinstalled applications copy all necessary files to the folder C:\Documents and Settings\*user*\Application Data\Thinstall. If you use Thinstalled applications on a regular basis, leave those files, the application will launch much faster the next time. If you just give it a try, all files under this folder may safely be deleted.
Portable nLite 1.4.8 Multilingual was successfully tested on a very basic XP SP2 virtual machine.
